- Heat water to roughly 70–80 °C and pour it into a bowl. Do not use boiling water.
- Place the tray in the water for 5 to 10 seconds, until the material turns soft and translucent.
- Lift the tray out with a spoon and shake off the excess water. Check that it is not too hot before putting it in your mouth.
- Place the tray over your teeth and press it firmly against your teeth and gums with your fingers and tongue.
- Hold for 20 to 30 seconds, then rinse with cold water so the shape sets.
- Repeat for the second tray. Not a good fit? Simply reheat and try again.
Sensitive teeth
6 steps to combat sensitive teeth
- Brush daily with a toothpaste that has a low abrasiveness rating and contains minerals that restore your tooth enamel, such as JuliBrite®.
- Use a soft Ikinora® toothbrush and apply light pressure. Brushing too hard can wear away the enamel and contribute to receding gums.
- Use MineraXim® Tooth Gel. Apply the gel to a custom-made mouthguard or aligner and leave it to work for 10 minutes. Use the gel for 10 days for targeted care of sensitive teeth.
- Limit acidic foods and drinks. Soft drinks, fruit juice, citrus fruits and other acidic foods and drinks can damage tooth enamel and increase sensitivity.
- Do not brush your teeth immediately after eating, as your tooth enamel is softer at that time. Wait at least 30 minutes after eating before brushing your teeth.
